We at FitMax Krav Maga have adapted a martial arts mentoring program under the Krav Kares, Inc. model. Krav Kares, Inc. a non-profit company has provided us with the necessary tools and format to implement such a wonderful mentoring opportunity at our schools for those ages 7-17 who hail from single-parent homes. Regardless of the reason, whether you lost a parent through a tragic car accident, or during your parent's courageous service in the military, whether it was because of a drug overdose, or simply because of an estranged relationship, we want to be here for you. Please consider applying for one of our Mentee/ Leadership Martial Arts opportunities. We want to hear your story and hopefully we can pair you up with one of our mentors in a safe, fun, nourishing and supportive martial arts school environment so you can excel in life.
To provide an opportunity for those ages 7 – 17 who come from single parent households to train in martial arts and be paired with a mentor to help lead to positive life changes and networking opportunities beyond what their local neighborhoods can provide to them.
Provide mentoring beyond martial arts training to build young mentees to become leaders themselves and shape positive citizenship through martial arts training and meaningful interactions between mentors and mentees and to help add some of the joy that is at times difficult in a single parent household.
Our Pledge for Inclusive Demographic - Our mentees include every race, ethnicity, gender, ability, socio-economic status ,religion, etc. In fact, part of our goal is to bring in mentees from all walks of life and backgrounds so they can befriend one another through our program as this opportunity may not necessarily be available in their everyday life and community but these youth mentees could grow in our martial arts program together based on the common bond of having come from a single-parent home. Of course, if a mentee is economically disadvantaged, we would work towards covering their fees associated with the program so they don’t have to worry about receiving fair access to our program.
Please submit a 250 word essay for consideration into our Krav Maga mentoring program (for ages 7 -17 only). You must be of a true single-parent home. Please share your story and tell us why you wish to be considered for training and leadership experience in our martial arts program. Space is limited. Questions about our mentoring program, our martial arts program or the process for which to apply to it, please submit your inquiry to the email below. We look forward to hearing from you!
